Could we make this sword lighter? Absolutely. But for our standard Carbon Omnis, durability & balance were more important than chasing minimal weight.
These swords come in at 7 oz-12oz (depending on variant) with the durability needed for long term regular play.
(That said, a Competition Weight Omni is in the works)
Currently available in the following models:
Stout Carbon:
Counterweighted on a heavier core. Comes in at 12oz (for Belegarth)
Note: With the balance point below the blade this will not meet Dagorhir requirements, though a second (or heavier) cover fixes this issue
Tapered Carbon:
Built on a tapered core for the least amount of forward weight - ~7oz - Balance point ~4.5” up the blade
Counter Weighted Tapered Carbon:
Built on a tapered core and counterweighted to bring the balance point back toward the handle ~9oz - Balance point ~1” up the blade
Additional Details:
Built on our carbon fiber core with our 2lb EVA Omni Blades
Features a carbon fiber handle wrapped in Howies Hockey Tape - Let us know in the order noted if you would like the handle naked or in a color other than black
We tend to pommel fight so our TPU pommel is made strong with fit & comfort in mind -
Includes a water repellant ripstop cover with a drawstring.
